At MPI, sustainability is not a standalone initiative, it’s embedded into how we make decisions, how we operate and how we work with our people, clients and supply chain. We recognise our responsibilities to the environment, the economy and our workforce, and we take a practical, accountable approach to turning ambition into action.
Since 2018, sustainability considerations have informed many of our strategic and operational decisions. This commitment led to achieving ISO 14001:2015 certification in 2020, providing a structured, audited framework for managing and improving our environmental performance.
We have attained Gold membership of the Supply Chain Sustainability School, enabling us to benchmark our performance, strengthen our processes and align with best practice across the industries we support.
We actively work to minimise our environmental impact across all areas of our operations. Our ISO 14001 certified Environmental Management System enables us to plan, measure and implement continual improvement in areas including energy use, carbon emissions, water consumption, waste reduction, pollution prevention and emergency planning.
MPI operates a carbon reduction plan aligned to PAS 2060, with a clear pathway towards achieving net zero by 2035. Each year, we calculate our carbon footprint and prioritise emissions reduction wherever possible. Where residual emissions remain, these are offset to ensure our offices operate on a carbon neutral basis, supporting credible projects that mitigate environmental impact.
We continue to invest in measures that reduce reliance on fossil fuels and improve energy efficiency, including the installation of solar panels and ongoing reviews of how we consume energy across our offices and operations.
Our people are central to our sustainability commitments. We believe responsible business means supporting wellbeing, inclusion and opportunity — both within MPI and in the communities we serve.
Equality, Diversity & Inclusion
As a recruitment business, equality, diversity and inclusion are fundamental to what we do. We actively promote inclusive recruitment practices and have an EDI Champion in place to help drive continuous improvement across the business.
Community & Volunteering
We are proud to support our wider community through staff volunteering, charitable initiatives, environmental projects and the sponsorship of junior sports clubs. These activities reflect our belief in giving back and supporting long-term community development.
Sustainability relies on accountability throughout the supply chain. We hold ourselves, and those we work with, to high ethical and environmental standards, promoting responsible sourcing, transparent practices and continuous improvement.
Our approach is supported by clear policies and independently verified certifications, ensuring our commitments are documented, measurable and auditable.
Sustainability does not stop at our own operations. We work closely with suppliers and partners who share our commitment to ethical, environmental and responsible business practices. By collaborating with organisations that align with our standards, we help promote consistency, accountability and continuous improvement across the wider supply chain.

Certification is not the end point. We continually review our performance, set new targets and look for ways to improve, driven by data, accountability and the engagement of our people. We welcome ideas, feedback and collaboration as part of our ongoing journey towards a more sustainable future.
